Laura Pee is a mixed-media artist based in Leicester. Her work explores nature, symbolism and our deeply individual, fleeting time on Earth through painting, paper works and 3D forms.

She allows each work to evolve intuitively and through a process-led approach, with a focus on texture, layering and a slower pace of making.

She is particularly drawn to materials that can be transformed, working across painting, collage, paper marbling, books and found objects.

Laura’s roots in Norfolk and childhood memories continue to shape her work. She often reflects on time spent at her Great Nanny Sheila’s house, surrounded by vintage magazines, storytelling, flowers, care and curiosity with a fuzzy feeling of nostalgia. It was here that her love of collage and working with paper began.

Her work brings together nature, memory and imagination, creating pieces that sit somewhere between the familiar and the surreal, with a quiet sense of wonder at the world and our place within it.
